PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
General Management
Managing a group of companies comprising two factory facilities in China with more than 2,000 workers plus regional sales offices in both the USA and Europe. The main production is high quality stationery items such as organizers, portfolios, back-to-school binders, travel wallets, car wallets, CD cases, and business accessories, etc. exported to markets worldwide. Major customers included Mead, Day Timer, Day Runner. Filofax, British Airways and Honda. Annual sales volume exceeds USD28 millions.
International Marketing/Sales
Set up three Representative Office in Beijing, Guangzhou and Xiamen, China, for three US/Australian companies (industrial equipment) to perform product sourcing, marketing/sales for new market penetration, sales and after sales service.
Export US machineries, components/parts to Bao Steel, Wuhan Steel, China Nonferrous Metal, etc., to China.
Imported China-made products such as marble, garden tools, mechanical tools, hardware, gift items etc. to US and European markets.
Joint Venturing
Assisted in the joint venture negotiation with a Hong Kong PLC Holding company to produce prestigious real leather hand-bags and goods for the top German brand name at factory in China.
Successfully negotiated and implemented three joint venture companies in China to use GE-made equipment to produce quartz related products such as tubing and ingots and Concord equipment to make wet-ground mica powder.
Offered consulting service to US investors for evaluating prospective investment ventures in China. (i.e. hotels, power plants, franchises, etc.), and risk management.
Financial/Accounting
Prepared monthly financial statements and statistical reports for the largest department store chain in Houston, Foley’s, with more than 18 stores and annual sales of more than $2.0 billion.
Coordinate both internal and external audits.
